The story of human development in Asia and the Pacific has been one of long-term progress, but also one of persistent disparity and widespread disruption.

AMID RISING GLOBAL UNCERTAINTIES, NEW DIRECTIONS FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

To reinvigorate human development amidst a turbulent landscape, the 2024 Asia-Pacific Human Development Report proposes new directions. What We Do

Spanning more than three decades, UNDP has a long-term partnership with the Government of Lao PDR. With its comparative advantage to work closely with a very broad range of government and local-level institutions, UN-agencies, development partners, civil societies and local communities, UNDP works side-by-side partners to ensure that the people of Lao PDR benefit from sustainable and inclusive growth, inclusive as well as accountable state institutions, and are increasingly resilient to the risks of climate change, natural disasters and unexploded ordnance.
