SDG Challenge 2017 aims to find innovative business ideas with global scalability and high social impact to realize SDGs. Present at the launching event were young entrepreneurs, representatives of 2030 Youth Force in Viet Nam, private sector partners and the media. Leaders from UNDP Viet Nam, HATCH! Addressing the launching event, Ms Akiko Fujii, UNDP Deputy Country Director in Viet Nam, highlighted that UNDP promoted innovation, a whole-of-society approach and more prominent roles for women and youth to help deliver the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals. “UNDP wants to tap into the thriving start-up scene in Viet Nam and start a conversation with young and ambitious entrepreneurs about the double bottom line: SDG impact and sustainable business,” she said.
The Competition will be held in three big innovation and entrepreneurial cities in Viet Nam - Ha Noi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
