Poverty reduction

• Assist Government and communities to scale up solutions to address high levels of poverty in ethnic minority areas by focusing on improving the effectiveness of the National Targeted Programmes (NTPs) on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and New Rural Development.
• Foster the application of innovative multidimensional methods for targeting poverty reduction programmes and policies: Multi-dimensional Poverty (MDP) measurements used for MDP analysis and monitoring contributed Viet Nam’s policies and programs on poverty reduction, social assistance
• Eco-system for e-commerce established and functioned in two provinces of Bac Kan and Dak Nong and introduced to the National Targeted Program on socio-economic development in Ethnic Minority and mountainous area.

   Social protection system reform

• Support the rollout of the Government’s Master Plan for Social Assistance Reform and Development for the period 2017-2025, vision to 2030, delivering transformational changes to the social protection system. 
  
• Ongoing Digitalization - of the management and delivery of the Government Social Protection package: (i) e-recording  and reporting; (ii) e-payment: e-banking and Viettel pay.
